I might be misinterpreting this, but I feel like there's a deep meaning to this song. You can't be sad, if you don't love. But you also can't love and not feel sadness. You're only sad, because you love someone, something. And so he's right when he says, “Love is all that you’ll ever need, to keep your sadness evergreen.”
There’s no truth that’s not worth lying for
Heaven ain’t no place worth dying for
Love is all that you’ll ever need
To keep your sadness evergreen
Bite your tongue so you don’t say you’re sorry
All that God has ever fеlt this lonely
Love is all that you’ll evеr need
To keep your sadness evergreen, you know
Sidenote: Love how this band is keeping those emo flames alive.
You’re always getting me high then you’re pulling me low
Then you beg me to stay, but you want me to go
You’re always telling me “yes” but your answer is “no”
If you want me to guess, I’m just a stranger you know
If you call this winning why do I feel like a loser?
Yeah, an awesome song with great lyrics, but it's also what today feels like for me.
This song has the perfect mix of rap and screaming vocals. While I cannot claim to be a lifelong Hollywood Undead fan, I appreciate the message the band conveys to their fans in this song. Also, if their songs are saving people's lives, then by all means keep on rocking.
Holy crap, this is an amazing cover! Okay maybe not a cover, but more like a re-imagination of the original. Redoing the song into an emo sounding track and the result is this? Very impressive.
