Cool bike, but okay, I don't understand. A flat bar, gravel bike... is this not just a mountain bike with a rigid fork? It has flat bars and wide tires meant to go off-road. Granted this one is an e-bike. But is this not a just a mountain bike? Or a hybrid bike meant to go off-road, like the new gen Trek Dual Sport with the rigid fork? It's like new categories are being invented all for the sake of marketing something “new”.
You’re always getting me high then you’re pulling me low
Then you beg me to stay, but you want me to go
You’re always telling me “yes” but your answer is “no”
If you want me to guess, I’m just a stranger you know
If you call this winning why do I feel like a loser?
Yeah, an awesome song with great lyrics, but it's also what today feels like for me.
I'm finally moving on from my main blog and so I've decided to spruce up this one. I've added a comments system and fleshed out the About page some more.
The commenting system allows “Guest Comments”, which means it does not require a user to create an account, or login to an account, to leave comments. There is a field to add an email address, but that is optional and only used for notifications. I'm hoping this will encourage more readers to leave comments.
I still have to get a proper domain name for this blog. I'm not sure if I'm staying with the “Micro Dispatch” blog name, or if I'll be changing it to something else, or even if I'm going to simply use the subdomain provided by write.as. One thing for sure is that I don't want to use my personal/professional domain name for this blog. I've done that before and didn't like how it turned out for a personal blog like this one. So yeah, I need to decide on the final blog name before purchasing a domain name.
Update 1:
Also, need to come up with a blog description or subtitle. I always like that feature for write.as blogs and want to make use of it. Just need to come up with a description that is not so similar to the one I used on the main blog that I'm moving on from.
I think I shared a video in the past about the dangers of the new bigger pickup trucks, but unfortunately cannot find the link to it. Anyway, I am all for smaller trucks. The newer bigger trucks are to me, kind of like a sign of gluttony. It's too much.
The most fun drag race video I've seen in awhile, with some amazing visual effects. Funny how the car I chose is the slowest of the bunch, but this doesn't make me regret my purchase.
A couple of thoughts on some cars on this video:
The Mini Cooper S even with only 201 horsepower, is pretty quick! It even beat the ...... in the drag race.
That Toyota GR86 is actually quick. Can't sleep on those anymore.
Man, that Hyundai Elantra N is so quick for a FWD car. A 4.9 sec 0-60, for a FWD car under 35K is crazy. I'm not sure what's stopping Hyundai from giving it an AWD system, but if they did, they would have a giant killer on their hands.
That Ecoboost Mustang is super quick. I know the diehards will say get the V8 or don't get a Mustang at all. But that Ecoboost Mustang might be the best bang for the buck option if your budget is limited. I will certainly not fault anyone for getting it.
The Mazda3 comes dead last and looks slow in this drag race video. And I will tell you, it does feels slow when you drive it. But if you actually look at your speedometer in daily driving, you'll notice you're consistently driving faster than you thought you were. I don't know what Mazda did, but it's deceptively fast. And while again it was the slowest car here, you'll note that during the launch, it was the smoothest of all the cars. And that's exactly why I picked it. If I wanted wheel spin during acceleration, I can get that all day in my Mazdaspeed3. I wanted a car that will launch with the minimum amount of wheel spin, and the Mazda 3 Turbo is that car.
