Recent discussions on the topic of Snap.as has me once again contemplating the creation of an image gallery script.
This one's a test using simply HTML and CSS. The images are from a Snap.as gallery I have. I obviously manually copied over the image URLs and the description.
The key here though, is that if it can be written in HTML and CSS, it can be written in JavaScript. The idea then is to list down the URLs and their description somewhere, and run some kind of loop that will generate the image gallery on the fly.
As I'm not feeling well today, I'll end here. Catch y'all later folks.
Today I discovered Lindsey Stirling. Well actually I first heard of her when she did a cover of “Phantom of the Opera” for the OST for The Umbrella Academy. But today is the first time I actually sat down to listen to her music.
Her music is a great mix of modern and classical. I've gone through the first six songs in the playlist below and... this is good stuff!
Totally did not expect this one. Season 1 was a gem. But ever since the pandemic, I was resigned to the idea of not seeing a second season. This trailer then is a surprise. And lo and behold, it looks like Season 2 is going to be on a different level. Very much looking forward to this one!
I'm one of those who still play Guild Wars 2 years since it came out. This video is a good explanation of why that is the case. The game will turn 10 years old in August, but the game developers are still working on it. New content, new updates are still coming out. If you've ever wondered why you should try playing it, check this out.
Heard this song on the radio last night, and it will not leave my mind. What a beautiful song.
“As Your love, in wave after wave
Crashes over me, crashes over me
For You are for us
You are not against us
Champion of Heaven
You made a way for all to enter in” ♪ ♫ ♪
Pretty good music to relax, work or study to, especially for fans of lofi music. Catholics might derive more enjoyment from this one, as the girl in the animated video is actually praying a Rosary. I think that's pretty cool.
It's been what, 5 years, since Chester Bennington took his own life. He struggled with depression and substance abuse for most of his life. If you paid attention to the lyrics in their songs, you would know this to be true.
I'm five years late in sharing this, but this is such a fitting and wonderfully done tribute to Chester Bennington. Wherever you are man, I hope you found peace.
It's been what, almost a month, since Twenty Five Twenty One ended, and I still cannot get over it. What a beautiful show. This fan made music video has so much of what was so great in the show. And this one was just from the first 6 episodes.
